Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 2026

Our Commitment

SaleSense is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, and display adaptation tools. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant international and national accessibility standards.

We are working toward full conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and with additional national and regional requirements detailed below.

Applicable Standards and Regulations

SaleSense strives to conform with the following accessibility standards and legal frameworks:

🇮🇱 Israel — Israeli Standard IS 5568

Pursuant to the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013 and the Israeli Standard IS 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA), Israeli law requires that digital services accessible to the public meet minimum accessibility standards. SaleSense operates in Israel and is committed to meeting IS 5568 requirements. This statement is provided in accordance with those regulations.

🇪🇺 European Union — EN 301 549 & European Accessibility Act (EAA)

The European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882/EU), effective from 28 June 2025, requires digital products and services offered in the EU to be accessible. The harmonized technical standard is EN 301 549 V3.2.1, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA as its web accessibility criteria. SaleSense works toward compliance with EN 301 549 for all EU users.

🇺🇸 United States — ADA & Section 508

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act, Section 508 require that electronic and information technology be accessible to people with disabilities. Courts and the DOJ have consistently interpreted the ADA as applying to websites and digital services. SaleSense treats WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance as the benchmark for ADA and Section 508 compliance.

🌐 WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Global)

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the W3C, forms the foundation for all of the above frameworks. It covers four core principles: content must be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR).

Conformance Status

SaleSense is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA (and by extension IS 5568 and EN 301 549). “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to all accessibility criteria, and we are actively working to address those gaps.

Measures We Take

  • Include accessibility as a requirement in our design and development process.
  • Provide an on-screen accessibility widget (floating button, bottom-left of every page) offering six user-controlled adjustments: High Contrast, Text Size (three levels), Highlight Links, Pause Animations, Text Spacing, and Large Cursor. User preferences are saved locally and restored on every visit.
  • Provide a visible skip-to-main-content link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users (WCAG 2.4.1).
  • Use semantic HTML landmarks (main, nav, footer) so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
  • Ensure all form inputs and interactive elements have visible labels and aria-label / aria-describedby attributes.
  • Maintain a minimum color contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text (WCAG 1.4.3 AA).
  • Support full keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse.
  • Implement focus trapping in modal dialogs (such as the accessibility panel) and return focus to the triggering element on close (WCAG 2.4.3).
  • All animated or moving content can be paused, stopped, or hidden using the “Pause Animations” widget feature (WCAG 2.2.2).
  • Text spacing can be increased to meet WCAG 1.4.12 thresholds (line-height ≥ 1.5×, letter-spacing ≥ 0.12em, word-spacing ≥ 0.16em) without loss of content or function.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the platform may not yet fully meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria:

  • Third-party components (including embedded chat widgets on merchant storefronts) may not meet all criteria. Merchants are responsible for their own storefront accessibility.
  • Some complex data visualizations on the merchant analytics dashboard may not yet have full text alternatives. We are working on ARIA-enhanced chart descriptions.
  • Older PDF documents linked from the platform may not be fully accessible. We are converting these to accessible HTML alternatives.

We are actively working to resolve these limitations. If you encounter a specific barrier, please contact us (see below) and we will prioritize a fix.
